Kanger SUBOX Mini Starter Kit Review
The Kanger SUBOX Mini is a versatile vaping device. Whether you love mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping or direct lung (DL) inhale, you will enjoy using it. This is an ideal vape kit to grab if you want to move up from a basic vape pen or eGo style device to a box mod setup. This is the kind of sub ohm device to get if you are on a budget. Although this SUBOX Mini has a maximum output of only 50 watts, it comes with a variable wattage feature. What’s more, you also get an RDA coil head with this kit.
The Kanger SUBOX Kit is composed of the Subtank Mini and the Kbox mini 50w box mod. One cool thing about this kit is that the mod and tank fit each other perfectly. The SUBOX Mini comes in different colors including black, blue, gold, and white. You can grab the Kanger SUBOX Mini for just $27.95 on Combo Vape in a deal that includes one LG HG2 battery and a 18650 battery charger.
Kanger KBOX Mini
The KBOX Mini is modeled closely after the original KBOX. The chassis of this mod is made of zinc alloy, and it has rounded corners which make it comfortable to hold. The dimensions of the device are 82mm by 39mm by 22mm. The KBOX Mini is lighter and more compact than its predecessor. On top of the mod, you will find a threaded 510 connection with a brass pin which is not adjustable. There are four air flow channels on top of the device.
The KBOX Mini runs on a single 18650 battery. The battery compartment is located at the back of the device and comes with a magnetic cover. There is no rattle when you fix the battery cover of this mod. The SUBOX Mini supports pass-through technology so you can vape while it is charging.
As stated above, this vape kit supports variable wattage. It can be used from 7 watts to 50 watts in 0.1 watt increments. On the front of the mod, you will find a firing button. Although the button is quite small, it is very easy to press and is very responsive. Below the firing button, there is a small display and two buttons below it.
The KBOX Mini mod does not support temperature control. This means it can only be used in wattage mode. The resistance range of the atomizers you can use with this device is 0.3 ohm to 1.6 ohm. If you use an atomizer with a resistance that is higher than 1.6 ohm, you will not be able to fire up to 50 watts.
It is very easy to use the SUBOX Mini. To turn it on/off, you only need to press the firing button quickly five times. The KBOX Mini comes with several built-in safety features including short circuit protection, 10-second cutoff, low voltage protection, battery reverse protection, atomizer open circuit protection, and PCB extreme heat protection.
Kanger Subtank Mini
The version of the Subtank Mini that comes with the SUBOX is slightly different from the original Subtank Mini. It has a vertical coil build instead of a horizontal one. It also comes with larger e-liquid holes. This translates to better flavor. This tank can hold 4.5ml of e-juice. It is compatible with any 510 Delrin drip tip and even comes with one.
The Subtank Mini comes with organic cotton coil (OCC) heads as well as an RBA coil head. The resistance of the coil heads with Japanese cotton are 0.5 ohm and 1.5 ohm. What’s more, the tank is fitted with two air flow slots to enable you to control your vaping experience. The Kanger SUBOX Mini may be small, but it can produce some huge clouds.
